Fitou is a village in the Aude, set between the Corbieres hills and the Mediterranean, famous for its AOC vineyard, one of the oldest in the Languedoc. Here, on the heights of the village, in a quiet neighbourhood of contemporary homes, stands Villa Container Fitou: an architect-designed villa built from recycled shipping containers, with a heated pool and a view over the Leucate lagoon and the sea.
A 130 sqm villa for eight
The villa offers 130 sqm on a single level, with four bedrooms: three double bedrooms (140 to 160 x 200 beds) and a child's bedroom with a trundle bed, sleeping eight in total. The living space brings together the fitted kitchen, the dining area and the lounge in one open room, facing the sunset. Outside, a raised wooden terrace overlooks the landscape, with the heated pool and garden furniture.
A pool heated all year round
The pool is heated twelve months a year and protected by a sliding terrace that covers the basin outside swimming hours. You can swim in spring, summer, autumn and even on a winter weekend. For families, the sliding terrace brings real safety: you open it when you decide to swim, and close it when you go back inside.
Everything within reach
The lake, the beach and the sea are less than 10 minutes away. The long sandy beaches of Leucate and La Franqui are 15 minutes away, home to one of Europe's largest kitesurf spots. Perpignan airport is 25 minutes away, Narbonne about twenty minutes, Collioure 1 hr 30, the Font-Romeu ski resort 1 hr 40 and Barcelona 2 hours. A tennis court is within walking distance, and the Fitou AOC winemakers' cellars are close by. In the village itself, the medieval castle of Fitou overlooks the rooftops and the lagoon; just south, the fortress of Salses, and in the Corbieres the Cathar castles of Queribus, Peyrepertuse and Aguilar.

Book direct, no commission
The villa is let directly, with no intermediary: the price shown is the price you pay, from 360 € per night depending on the season, with a monthly rate and a 20 % increase on Friday and Saturday nights. Payment is secured by Stripe, with a 30 % deposit at booking and the balance 30 days before arrival. No security deposit is held: a holiday insurance certificate is all we ask.
